FSPA Dinner Theater to Support Local Students
Performances in Disney World

FRANKLIN – The Franklin School for the Performing Arts Dance Company and Musical Theater Performing Troupes Broadway Light and Broadway Bound will give their 7th Annual performance at Walt Disney World and participate in Disney Workshops this April. FSPA Dinner Theater, featuring cocktails, dinner and performances by these troupes, will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. at the Medway VFW as a fundraiser for this extraordinary experience.

While in Disney World this April, the FSPA Dance Company will perform on April 13 at the Tomorrowland Stage in the Magic Kingdom and on April 14 on the Dock Stage in Downtown Disney. The company’s program includes ballet, jazz, modern and tap choreography by FSPA Dance Company Director Lisa Lowey, FSPA instructors Jean Wenzel, Clyde Nantais, Brandi Lochiatto and Stephanie Moy, and FSPA Alumnus Tina Clark. Solos will be performed by Melissa Agriminakis (Medfield) Michelle Burke (Franklin) and Kerri Williams (Franklin). Additional Dance Company members include: Michelle Bauman (Medfield), Lisa Burke (Franklin), Susanna Brown (Franklin), Kristen Conroy (Medway), Lauren Devine (Franklin), Jen Doherty (Franklin), Niari Keverian (Medfield), Colleen Megley (North Attleboro), Katy O’Donnell (Franklin), Jessica O’Neill (Franklin) and Casey Shea (Franklin).

Broadway Light, a co-ed high school troupe, will present An Animal Song Medley including such songs as "Be a Lion," "Eye of the Tiger," and "Crocodile Rock" on April 13 on the Tomorrowland Stage and on April 14 on the Dock Stage. Broadway Light members include: Dan Beksha (Attleboro), Janna Burke (Norfolk), Sabrina Cohen (Foxboro), Tina Fontaine (North Attleboro), Dan Gleason (Franklin), Erin Hogan (Franklin), Chris LeBeau (Holliston), Mike McCormick (Natick), Katy O’Donnell (Franklin), Jessica Pagel (Franklin), Ryan Powers (Franklin), Matt Rickard (Franklin), Meghan Trahan (Franklin) and Steve Spierdowis (Foxboro). These students, selected by audition, study voice, dance and musical theater at FSPA.

The all-girls high school troupe, Broadway Bound, will present A Seasons Medley including "Hazy Shade of Winter," "Autumn Goodbye," "Girl for all Seasons" and more on April 13 on the Tomorrowland Stage and on April 14 on the Dock Stage. Broadway Bound members include: Lizzie Abbate (Franklin), Stephanie Bird (Blackstone), Caitlin Coyne (Franklin), Lauren Devine (Franklin), Dana Glassman (Franklin), Claudia LoConte (Norfolk), Kate Lowey (Medway), Nadine Malouf (Grafton), Colleen Megley (North Attleboro), Hannah Moor (Norfolk), Amanda Rae (Franklin), Brittney Strickland (Millis), Meghan Trahan (Franklin) and Kerry Wallace (Franklin). These students, selected by audition, study voice, dance and musical theater at FSPA.

While in Disney World, the students will also attend workshops run by Disney professionals entitled "Disney Dancin’," "Disney Sings," and "Disney Showchoir Magic." Performances and workshops at this exciting entertainment venue have been part of FSPA’s enrichment program since 1996.

The public is invited to preview the students’ Disney program at the FSPA Dinner Theater, a fundraiser for the trip, that will be presented on Saturday, April 6 at the Medway VFW Hall. Cocktails begin at 7:00 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Broadway Light, Broadway Bound and the FSPA Dance Company, as well as the junior troupes BLT2 and Lite Brites, will perform after dinner.
