Guest artist from Prometheus Dance Company
to Offer Modern-Jazz Workshop in Franklin

FRANKLIN – The Franklin School for the Performing Arts will host a Modern-Jazz Workshop, open to intermediate/advanced dancers, presented by guest artist Andy Taylor-Blenis of Prometheus Dance Company on Saturday, March 2 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Trained to appreciate each dancer’s unique anatomy, Andy is dedicated to giving personal attention to her students. Her Modern-Jazz class is inspired by jazz music and modern dance emphasizing jazz technique and injury prevention.

A former soloist of Danny Sloane Dance Company, she has been a member of Prometheus Dance Company for more than a decade under the direction of Diane Arvanites-Noya and Tommy Neblett. She has also performed locally with Julie-Ince Thompson and Company in the BankBoston Celebrity Series and with Dance Collective, a company co-directed by her sister Micki Taylor-Pinney.

A faculty member of Boston Conservatory, Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, and Folk Arts Center of New England, Andy has extensive experience teaching jazz, modern, musical theater and folk dance to a variety of ages.

Please pre-register to reserve a space in the class by calling FSPA at 508-528-8668. All area dancers at the intermediate/advanced level are invited. Open class fee is $25.00.
