FSPA Selects Local Students for
2001-2002 Senior Dance Company

FRANKLIN - Congratulations to the 14 students, ages 13 and up, who were selected for the Franklin School for the Performing Arts 2001-2002 Senior Dance Company.

From Franklin: Susanna Brown, Michelle Burke, Lisa Burke, Lauren Devine, Jen Doherty, Katy O’Donnell, Jessica O’Neill, Casey Shea and Kerri Williams. From Medfield: Melissa Agriminakis, Michelle Bauman and Niari Keverian. From Medway, Kristin Conroy and from North Attleboro, Colleen Megley.

All senior dance company members take at least 4 dance classes a week in at least two disciplines at FSPA studying ballet, pointe, jazz, tap and/or modern in addition to their company repertoire. Performing the choreography of several members of the FSPA Dance Faculty, the company rehearses under the direction of FSPA dance instructor, Lisa Lowey, to prepare for FSPA productions, outside invitations and community performances.

FSPA Dance Company is scheduled for its 3rd annual performance in Disney World in April 2002 including workshops run by Disney professionals. The company will also perform at the FSPA Disney Dinner Theater Fundraiser on April 6, 2002 and at the FSPA/Dean College Scholarship Showcase on February 1, 2002.

The Franklin School for the Performing Arts, celebrating its 17th season, offers specialized after-school programs in music, dance and drama to students of all ages from more than 40 communities.
