September 10, 2001 Talented Local Students Selected for Broadway Light, FSPAs co-ed group of high school students, welcomes its newest members: Dan Beksha (Attleboro), Janna Burke (Norfolk), Sabrina Cohen (Foxboro), Tina Fontaine (North Attleboro), Dan Gleason (Franklin), Erin Hogan (Franklin), Chris LeBeau (Holliston), Michael McCormick (Natick), Katy ODonnell (Franklin), Jessica Pagel (Franklin), Ryan Powers (Franklin), Matthew Rickard (Franklin), Amy Semerjian (Franklin), and Steve Spierdowis (Foxboro).
Broadway Bound, FSPAs all-girls ensemble for students grades 8-12, includes: Lizzie Abbate (Franklin), Tia Anderson (Franklin), Stephanie Bird (Blackstone), Caitlin Coyne (Franklin), Lauren Devine (Franklin), Dana Glassman (Franklin), Claudia LoConte (Norfolk), Kate Lowey (Medway), Nadine Malouf (Grafton), Colleen Megley (Franklin), Hannah Moor (Norfolk), Amanda Rae (Franklin), Brittney Strickland (Millis), Meghan Trahan (Franklin) and Kerry Wallace (Franklin). BLT2, FSPAs troupe for grades 7-9, includes: Colin Bryson (Medway), Jessica Cain (Franklin), Brittany Dreier (Franklin), Ashley Gregory (Norfolk), Lyndsay Magid (Medfield), (continued on page 2) Bridget Murphy (Sherborn), Heather Philben (Millis), Annie Powers (Norfolk), Kristen Rucki (Franklin), Jimmy Sheehan (Walpole), Kayla Shumway (Franklin), Katie Taylor (Bellingham), and Ricky Vita (Mansfield). Lite Brites, for grades 5 and 6, include the following talent for the fall: Rachel Abbate (Norfolk), Daisy Alioto (Wrentham), Megan Charbonnier (Franklin), Annie Ferris (Franklin), Garrett Gleason (Franklin), Colin Jaros (Mansfield), Lauren Kelleher (Norton), Morgan Lowey (Medway), Samantha Rosenberg (Franklin), Andrea Ross (Franklin), and Eliza Scoba (Franklin). FSPA musical theater students have performed in the Broadway tour of Show Boat at the Wang Center in Boston, in the 1996 national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat starring Donnie Osmond and again in January 2000 in the national tour of Joseph starring Deborah Gibson and Patrick Cassidy at Bostons Colonial Theater, at Walt Disney Worlds Epcot Center and Magic Kingdom and with Disney Entertainment on tour. FSPA musical theater students perform regularly in the community and throughout the Boston area including concerts at the Massachusetts State House and for a National Literacy Symposium at the Kennedy Library. These performances are accompanied by a professional rhythm section in residence at the school. FSPA offers musical theater classes for students of all levels in grades 2 and up. These classes incorporate singing, movement and acting activities as well as performances in the winter and spring.
